Sandcastle is a really nice playground. It is a wooden structure playscape with lots of secret tunnels and slides. It has a separate area for small children. It also has two sandboxes, a stage, swings (baby, regular and tire) and many more fun bridges and slides. The downfall is that there are some areas that the drop from the structure to the ground is rather large. For instance, in the little kids area there is a step that is high even for an adult to scale never mind an under 3 year old.
Zoe loves this park she gets a huge kick out of climbing the structure. We have had many hours of fun at Sandcastle. It is a fun place and is loved by many in town...It does get really crowded... Another upside is that it is at the beach so after playing on the playground you can take a nice walk on the beach...

Reason for this...

So this week I had April vacation and Zoe and I spent a lot of time outside playing. Recently, Fairfield has been named the best place in Connecticut to live and it is during Zoe and my playtime that I figured out why...The amount of public playgrounds are nothing less then amazing. I know every towns have community playground but most located on school grounds and unable to be used during school hours. I find that there is almost a playground on every corner in town..I think that it would be fun to all come together and make recommendations and ratings for playgrounds that you play upon. I am now addicted hence the name playground junkie to finding the best playgrounds out there and help others to go outside and PLAY!!!
